How ridiculous are those who sneer at a question about a well-reported event because they don't like a source?

I think it's completely stupid when people refuse to believe something that Fox News reports simply because Fox News is generally conservative. I'm conservative but if some liberal News media says something I'll believe it so why can't the liberals provide the same courtesy to Fox? that's an answer I'd like to know?
